EU helps Belarus improve energy efficiency standards

Contributing to a more competitive and energy efficient economy in Belarus was the overall goal of a three-year EU-funded project which has just come to an end. The project, which focused on raising energy saving and energy efficiency standards in the field of consumer goods and industrial production, also stimulated national and local authorities, private, as well as non-governmental entities to be more proactive in this sphere, said the EU in a press release.
